Project with University of Hertfordshire
During 2019-2021, the project “House for All” (La Casa de Todos) was launched by UPC´s International Office together with the School of Communications and Journalism, and the University of Hertfordshire.
This academic project focused on the House for All, a temporary shelter installed by the Municipality and Beneficence of Lima, at the Plaza de Toros de Acho, where the homeless were provided with shelter and food. This academic project has been developed and presented in various formats.
The first is a short documentary in both, English, and Spanish, which was also shown as a photographic exhibition in the streets of Lima. The exhibition was curated by Franz Krajnik, photographer, and faculty at the School of Communication, who was also in charge of editing the audiovisual format, depicted through a graphic book, which compiled photographs and interviews done by UPC’s faculty, as well as by alumni from the School of Communication and Journalism School. A podcast in both, Spanish, and English, was also developed and broadcasted in the United Kingdom, as part of the agreement between UPC and the University of Hertfordshire.
In addition, the project considers the international exchange of students, staff, and faculty from the University of Hertfordshire to UPC, and vice versa.
Project with Pan-European University
The Erasmus+ agreement between UPC and Pan-European University was signed in January 2020 with the purpose of initially promoting student and faculty mobility. Two UPC students from the Administration and Marketing program, were the recipients of the scholarships to study one academic term at Pan-European University, a private institution located inSlovakia. In addition to a full tuition scholarship, each student received a stipend for airfare, accommodation, and other related expenses.
